Bespoke Security Alarm Installations in Fife

Allan started the partnership in 1992 with his wife Linda. He began his career as a qualified electrician, however he took an avid interest in security systems while working for his father’s business and Allan Moncrieff Alarms was founded. 

Allan has completed various courses and training schemes and makes sure all the engineers have the certificates they need.  

His primary interest is Intruder Alarms for both domestic and commercial properties allowing him to concentrate on the regular maintenance, repair and take-over side of the business. 

Linda joined forces with Allan in 1992 at the very start of Allan Moncrieff Alarms after working in a local law firm. She single-handedly managed the office for many years; however the growth of the business allowed her to bring in an extra pair of hands in 2015. 

Linda has an HNC in business studies and uses this to help develop and grow the business while making sure everything runs smoothly in the background. 

She can be found in our office ensuring all the relevant insurances & certificates are in place, however she predominantly manages the finance side of the business

Ross worked for his parents, Allan & Linda, from a young age completing his apprenticeship in Security Systems at Telford College, Edinburgh where he received the student of the year award twice.  

After learning the ropes and putting the hours in Ross became a fully-fledged partner of the business in 2014.  He quickly took on his first apprentice Euan in 2015 followed by Robbie in 2021.  

Ross keeps on top of the latest advances in technology and likes to implement his knowledge with the installations he carries out, be it in the Intruder, CCTV, Fire or Security Lighting fields.

Hannah found her way into Allan Moncrieff Alarms in 2015 when the business had grown to the extent that Linda needed another pair of hands in the office. Luckily, Ross’ sister-in law, Hannah, was looking for a new challenge. 

Her most previous job was an admin role which partnered with a background in childcare and hospitality, stands her in good stead for dealing with the multitude of tasks required for assisting with the running of the business. 

She can be found in the office carrying out admin tasks and at the end of the phone to help arrange appointments for both call outs and maintenance services as well as to help resolve minor issues..

Euan joined Allan Moncrieff Alarms in 2015 as Ross’ apprentice, having been a friend of the family for years. 

He completed his modern apprenticeship in Fire & Security Systems in 2018 at Edinburgh College having done many jobs with both Ross and Allan; therefore, gaining a wealth of knowledge across the board. 

Euan enjoys getting out and about visiting our customers whilst carrying out intruder alarm, fire alarm & CCTV maintenance services as well as doing some of the smaller installations & upgrades on his own, but he does still get his hands dirty with Ross on the bigger jobs.
